Last weekend we hosted our giveaway winners for a styled anniversary session and I'm just obsessed with how it turned out! First of all, our couple was AMAZING! Bailey & Robbie are the sweetest couple in the world. They've been together since they were teenagers and it's the most precious thing to watch them together. You can just tell how much they really care about each other and how happy they are with the life they've built. It was such a treat to get to know them and spoil them a little bit as they approach their second wedding anniversary.
Second, our vendor team....ALL THE LOVE for these ladies! As if this "job" wasn't already the greatest thing ever, add in the bonus of getting to collaborate with some of the sweetest and most talented ladies in the area and I'm in heaven!! Stephanie Michelle Hair and MeLissa with Dhalia Edwards spent the morning pampering Bailey and she looked gorgeous! Courtney Inghram Events created the most incredible bouquet and hair comb I think I've ever seen. The flowers fit the theme perfectly! We couldn't have pulled this shoot off without these ladies and their awesome skills. THANK YOU FRIENDS!!!
When Beth and I decided to host an anniversary session, we had so many fun ideas and I really couldn't be happier with how it all came together. Beth, these pictures are everything!! You totally killed this shoot and I'm so thankful I got to be a part of it! Huge thank you for trusting me to be a part of the team and for being such a beach-loving dream of a friend. <3
Ok so a little about the couple. Bailey & Robbie met in the fifth grade and began dating right after high school. Now, Bailey is a RN case manager, Robbie is a detective, and they have a whole gang of furry babies at home in Charlottesville. They were married in the Outer Banks back in June of 2015 and, you guys, it rained buckets on their wedding day. That didn't stop these two from having an incredible outdoor ceremony, complete with their closest friends holding umbrellas over them as they said their vows. Then, the clouds parted and the rain stopped just in time for them to walk back down the aisle as husband and wife.
When we were planning this shoot, we knew wanted to incorporate some special elements from Bailey & Robbie's wedding day. It was so fun to see what special mementos they brought from home, like the wooden sign with their last name and a set of antique skeleton keys. Also, you know I love a beautiful invitation suite!
So here are some of my favorite images from the day. Be sure to head over to Beth's blog to check out the shoot from her point of view, and to hear the really cool story behind that amazing chess set!
