Janelle & Nathan - Elkington Plantation

I'm so excited to finally share this gorgeous wedding with you! We've been dreaming up this day for so long and I have to say that the carefully planned details that Janelle and her mother poured their hearts into truly came together perfectly. Pair all the beauty with the absolute sweetest families, incredible friends, and the super in-love couple....and the whole day was a dream to be a part of! Not to mention, one of my favorite Eastern Shore wedding venues, Elkington Plantation was the backdrop for the festivities. If you're considering getting married on the Shore, you need to check out this incredible property!

Since they were planning an outdoor wedding, Janelle & Nathan took the necessary precautions and buried a bottle of bourbon a month before their big day. This Southern tradition never seems to fail and we had the most incredible weather for the party of the summer. It's always so much fun to watch the bride and groom dig up the bourbon bottle before the ceremony and this crowd certainly didn't disappoint!

Nate & Nellie {that's what their friends call them and I'm basically obsessed!} planned for a large after-party at the end of the night, so opted out of a grand exit after the reception. Instead, they provided each of their guests with a small packet of lavender seeds to toss as the couple walked back down the aisle at the end of the ceremony and it was the sweetest sight!

There were a million other heartfelt details throughout the day, but I'll let the stunning images taken by Alexis Jones Photography tell the rest of the story!
